Wise Words Wednesday: Especially for ALL of you … just from ME (vol. IV)

My Wise Words Wednesday is technically very late since it’s currently past midnight so it’s really Thursday! Since I have not yet gone to sleep, it’s still MY WEDNESDAY and I’m committed to posting today because I know I’ve been missing for the past couple of weeks. I want to apologize for not updating the site recently but it’s not that I’ve been lazy or uninspired, I’ve just been swamped with the launching of a new magazine I’m working as the Editor of. It’s been so exciting, thrilling and rewarding! Last Wednesday we held our official Launch Party so needless to say my hands have been filled and I am just now coming up for air. After the launch celebration we were filled with media requests, TV interviews and getting the magazine out in the community! I promise to share more details about the madness and adventure with you all soon! I also still have two weddings to share with all of you as well as a very special baby shower. So those of you who are in the middle of event planning, please check back soon for those updates! Also, summer is in full swing and I need to start sharing more of my summer fashion inspirations and beauty tips for the insane heat. For now though, I need to focus on today’s (yesterday’s) Wise Words Wednesday!

Through my journey with working on the launch of this new magazine and putting it all together, I’ve learned how important the support of those around me has been. It’s been a time in my life when I’ve witnessed who has truly been there for me, who has BELIEVED in me and who has inspired me to keep going when I doubted not only myself but life. With that said, I’d like to dedicate this post to ALL of my family and friends who have checked in to see how I was doing, gave me ideas, leads for interviews, joined me in celebrating the big launch of the magazine or just called to check in how things were going with the magazine when it was only an idea in the minds of a few people. I want to give an extra HUGE thank you to all of my friends, family and past employers and co-workers who have served as guidance, who have given me an abundance of pointers through the process and been there to bounce ideas off and also those who offered to share the magazine with their own contacts and social circles making sure that the magazine succeeds and is everywhere in the community. There are no words I could say enough to express my gratitude!

Also, in the past year and some change that I have been “officially” unemployed and only working on freelance projects, I want to let those who supported me know how grateful I am for being there and believing me every step of the way. Thank you for never discouraging me, thank you for never telling me to pick another career, thank you for never telling me I wouldn’t succeed and thank you for encouraging me to continue with my writing when others doubted! For anyone in the publishing business or who is a journalist knows that this isn’t just a career of talent or opportunity but one of persistence and patience. Many times we’re tested and Editors, and employers just want to see how passionate we really are about our writing and how creative one can be before the next job is offered. For those who understood this and still encouraged me to keep going when I didn’t see light at the end of the tunnel… THANK YOU! For anyone going through a similar path all I can say is: Never give up on what your heart truly desires, believes in and is content with!

Those are my personal Wise Words for this Wednesday. Now here are some inspirational words from others who are far more known or talented than I can only hope to be. Enjoy…
